The latest upgrade to the Android platform Jelly Bean 4.1.1 was announced at the Google I/O conference not long ago, and OEMs have been on the run, to get the update as fast as possible on their gadgets. However, as usual it is Motorola, which has the first taste of the Jelly Bean. The update will roll out via OTA to Motorola Xoom but will come extremely slow.
The Rush
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will spice up the platform. Among tablets, Asus first announced that all their Transformer slates would be upgraded. The HTC One series smartphones have also been confirmed to receive the update in the near future. While most of these manufacturers are still lining up their schedules, Motorola has already begun rolling out the update to Xoom devices.
Jelly Bean Soak Test
It was already reported that those manufacturers who took part in the soak test of the Jelly Bean before it will be launched, would receive the update as soon as the testing was over. Although, Motorola was speculated to be in the soak test before it was only confirmed a couple of days ago. Everything is happening so soon, and Motorola is reportedly rolling out the updates after the soak test.
